The second annual Adams State University Summer Latino Leadership Summit hosted 23 young leaders from 12 high schools across Colorado, from June 30 through July 3, to increase their leadership potential and impact their local communities. In addition to the high school students, 20 college students participated in various leadership roles throughout the summit.

According to Mary Mercer, Adams State Summer Latino Leadership Summit Coordinator, evaluation forms included favorable student comments, including: "I loved this (Summer Latino Leadership Summit) very much, and couldn't believe how much I learned from all of these amazing people," and, "I really loved this experience, and I hope to be a part of Adams State."
