ASU - Higher Learning Commission Comprehensive Evaluation
Ensuring our Great Stories Continue...
A Letter from Arnold Salazar, Chair of Adams State University Board of Trustees:
As Adams State University embarks on the process of comprehensive evaluation by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), I want to express my utmost confidence in the academic quality provided and the high standards to which faculty keep.
Adams State's site visit will occur during the 2016-17 academic year. I encourage all faculty and staff to take the time to understand the process and enjoy the opportunity to learn more about ourselves and demonstrate the commitment we all show when serving Adams State students.
For the last ten years, Adams State has fully embraced the mission of an inclusive and diverse campus community with access to higher education for all. Adams State continues to offer a quality education to the historically underserved, as well as those with high academic standing. This dedication to our mission will aid in the evaluation from HLC.
I truly believe in all our programs and the valuable assets faculty share with their students and colleagues. Adams State is the most diverse campus in Colorado, and the university continues to develop programs and opportunities to inspire and educate our students in pursuit of their lifelong dreams and ambitions.
The university takes pride in
reaching out to all students. Our
mission includes holding our faculty and staff in the highest esteem with
opportunities for professional and personal growth. In the last decade, the
campus has seen record enrollment numbers, construction of new stadium and
residence halls, and the renovation of academic buildings. Through all the
expansion Adams State remains connected to its roots in bringing quality
education to a remote, rural area of Southern Colorado.
I look forward to sharing the University's experiences as well as learning from the visitors' observations.
