ASU Food Drive

Tuesday September 18 will be the first food drive of the year for the ASU food pantry. Any and all food donations are appreciated. There will be a table set up outside of McDaniel Hall on 9/18 collecting donations from 9am-5pm.

Donate food, help a fellow student in need!

The food pantry is a supplemental food bank free for all ASU students, faculty, and staff. Proof of income is not required so come in and get some goodies! Located in the CoRE Center in the SUB.

Chili Wednesday

SACNAS will be selling chili in Porter Hall, first floor this Wednesday 9/19 from 11:30-1pm. We understand how hard it can be to have time to go off campus and grab lunch or perhaps you are tired of eating the same things, so come by this week and enjoy chili made by Diane and Edith. $5 includes a bowl of chili, a drink, and a mini sweet treat to keep you going through your day. We usually have cheese and chips 🙂 Thank you for your support!

Learn the Basics of Crochet

If you are interested in learning the basics of crochet, then please join Art League at their first workshop. The workshop is today (Friday) at 2pm at the front entrance of the Art Building. Supplies are provided but are limited.

SHE ROCKS: Ladies Rock Climbing and Bouldering Nights

Join us every Monday from 7-9 PM to climb at the REX wall!
The REX gym and Adams State Adventure Program are teaming up to offer a climbing night specifically for women, female-identified, and non-binary individuals. Crush your current climbing workout or try climbing for the first time in a supportive, empowering space. Next Monday (9/17) we will also offer belay certifications starting at 6:15 PM.
The gym will be open for a ladies workout night!

Fall 2018 Bitty Basketball Clinics (Boys & Girls K-6th)

Starting NEXT weekend, Saturday-September 22, 2018: The Adams State University Basketball Team will begin their (3) Fall K-6th Grade Boys & Girls Basketball Youth Clinics in the Plachy Basketball Gymnasium on Campus. There will be three clinic dates:

Saturday, September 22, 2018 (9:00 AM – Noon) —-> Register at Door from 8:00-9:00AM
Saturday, September 29, 2018 (9:00 AM – Noon) —-> Register at Door from 8:00-9:00AM

Each session is $35.00 or for all (3) sessions it will be = $95.00

K-6th grade Boys & Girls are welcome to come and receive quality skill instruction, interaction & training from ASU Basketball players, participate in offense & defense concepts, and participate in fundamental & team games.

Blood Drive Sept. 19th

The Adams State Student Nurses Association will be hosting a blood drive in coordination with Bonfils Blood Center on Wednesday, September 19th, from 12:00-4:00 in the Student Union Building. Individuals who are in good health and meet the general eligibility criteria are able to donate (even if you were deferred in the past, you may be able to donate now). Basic requirements for blood donating include being at least 18 years old, weighing at least 110 pounds, and having a valid form of identification (driver’s license, work badge, school ID, etc.). If you recently got a new tattoo or piercing, you can still donate as long as the tattoo was applied in a state-regulated shop and the piercing was performed using single-use equipment. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact Victoria Campbell at Please remember to eat a well-balanced meal within 2 hours of donation and be well hydrated. Walk-in’s are welcome!
