Dear ASU Alumni and Friends,
Looking at this year’s Donor Report and scholarship list should bring a smile to your face and a sense of pride in being part of the great institution that is Adams State. The generosity and overall desire to help the students at ASU shown by our donors is amazing.
The past year has been bittersweet. We have experienced the loss of several alumni and friends of the university, but we continue to receive their support through planned giving in their estates. These gifts will create a legacy for the donor through support of current and future students.
As the university’s administration and the Board of Trustees continue to recruit new students and create exciting new programs of study, the need for institutional financial aid will increase. We recruit and retain great students, but, in following our goal to serve the underserved, we have many who need financial assistance as they embark on the path of higher education. Financial support, especially scholarships, is the safeguard that allows these exceptional young people to become exceptional students and our future leaders. I hope you will consider helping to provide this safeguard for our students during their educational journey.
I invite you to come visit the Adams State campus, take in a game, see the new facilities and, most importantly, take the time to meet some of our outstanding students. Their energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and you will remember what makes our Adams State University so special.
If you are interested in making a personal or corporate gift, establishing a scholarship, or receiving more information on giving to ASU through your estate, Tammy Lopez ’91, ’00, Executive Director of the Foundation, and Lori Laske, CFRP ’91, ’01, Executive Director of Alumni and Donor Relations, are available to answer your questions and assist you in the donation process.
I hope to see you around campus, and please remember that your gift, regardless of
amount, will have a positive impact on our students.
